Hiking holidays on the Alpe di Siusi in autumn
All seasons are perfect for a farm holiday – However: autumn time is hiking time in South Tyrol. Even for a hiking holiday on the popular Alpe di Siusi, the farm Fingerhof is an ideal starting point. In 25 minutes by car, you may reach the village of Siusi allo Sciliar, thus, the cable car to Compaccio and to the hiking area Alpe di Siusi. From here, you may leisurely walk along the hiking path “Hans and Paula-Steger”, which offers great views, or along more challenging trails across the Rosszahnscharte to S. Cipriano. You always have the opportunity to return by public transport to the starting point.
Other hiking destinations include the Schnaggenkreuz, the Tuffalm and Hoferalm, Schönblick, Mount Sciliar, the Catinaccio, the Sasso Lungo, the Sasso Piatto and the Seceda. We are happy to inform you about the length of the hikes and the difficulty levels.
Hiking in the autumn, starting from the farm Fingerhof
Once again, we would like to mention the hiking path “Oachner Höfeweg”. Now in the autumn, all the traditional taverns along the wayside are open. Thus, a hike on the “Höfeweg” in autumn also offers a special culinary and – if you wish – oenological pleasure, because cider and new wine are as much as part of the traditional Törggelen in South Tyrolean, as “Speck” (bacon), homemade bread and smoked sausage.
If you prefer alpine climbing experiences, you may choose the path to the Tschafon Lodge and the peak Völseggspitze: a five-hour hike in the nature park Sciliar-Catinaccio with spectacular views that starts right here in Aica di Fiè.
